Viewer Challenge Picker
Let viewers submit challenges and spin to choose which one you'll attempt. Creates interactive stream moments and boosts engagement.
Random Loot Drops
Decide who gets rare loot in co-op games. Add party member names, spin for the drop. Fair distribution keeps everyone happy.
Game Selection Wheel
Can't decide what to play? Add your game library to the wheel and let fate decide. Viewers love watching you play something random.
Adding NameWheels to OBS
Display the wheel on your stream in 3 easy steps.
Add Browser Source
In OBS, add a new Browser Source. Set the URL to namewheels.com/wheels/gaming. Set width to 1920px and height to 1080px (or your stream resolution).
Position & Resize
Drag and resize the source to fit your layout. The wheel works at any size. Enable "Shutdown source when not visible" to save resources between scenes.
Interact to Spin
Right-click the source → Interact. This opens a control window. Add names, then spin the wheel. The animation appears live on your stream.
Pro Tip: Use a Shared URL
Click "Share List" to generate a URL with your viewer names. Paste that URL in your Twitch chat or Discord. Viewers can see the exact same wheel and verify the draw is fair.
Using the Wheel for D&D Sessions
Initiative Order
Add all player character names and NPCs. Spin to determine who acts first. Remove each name after their turn to track initiative visually.
Random Encounters
Create a wheel with 10-15 encounter types (Goblin Ambush, Traveling Merchant, Ancient Ruins, etc.). Spin when players enter new areas.
Loot Distribution
When the party finds treasure, add player names and spin to see who gets first pick. Fair and eliminates arguments at the table.
NPC Name Generator
Pre-load a wheel with 30 fantasy names. When players meet a new NPC unexpectedly, spin for an instant name. Saves you from "uh... his name is... Bob."
